Sea & Wind is no longer available to the public

We wish to thank all who have participated is this ambitious undertaking — the investors, the board of directors, the design and development team, our friends and family, and of course the many sailors who made up the Sea & Wind community.

We were warned when we started the project that less than 10% of startups succeed. Our optimism ultimately collided with that reality.

This has been a difficult decision. We still believe we've created a great product — a social media site just for sailing — one that integrates exploration of destinations, and resources such as route planning, weather and tides.

But launching a successful social media app requires much more than the product, and we've fallen short with implementing the business vision.

It's possible that some other ambitious group will have a similar vision one day. Our web app will still be available for private demos, and we will be happy to consider arrangements for its use.
